The amount of rumors surrounding a Microsoft smartwatch have spiked in the last couple of weeks. We haven’t seen any hints as to what we should expect from this product, and it’s also understandable for Microsoft to remain conservative at times when smartwatches aren’t really selling well. Still, if you’ve ever wondered how this smartwatch would look like and work, a designer has just taken the time to give us a cool hint.
German designer Nadir Aslam has just posted an interesting design concept on what he feels a Windows smartwatch should be. In addition to the elegance and simplicity of the design, you’ll also notice how Aslam envisions notifications and interactions with services like Facebook, among others. One of the coolest things to note is the existence of a status bar, which would be far smarter to help you deal with notifications than to just get card after card of new things. Aslam also envisions that Cortana should play a key role in this product, as it would save you a lot of time to deal with your communications through voice on a wearable.
We rarely ever cover concept designs because of the little possibility these have to ever happen. That said, it’s hard to deny that this would be a great way for Microsoft to start its future product. Let’s just hope they’re reading, and let’s hope Windows for wearables takes a hint from this idea. You can find more images on the concept in the source link down bellow.
