Nokia lumia 1020 to get end of life treatment soon.

Out of the many Windows Phones Nokia launched in 2013, the Lumia 1020 was easily one of the best. To this day, the 41MP shooter hasn’t been overthrown as camera king, and it manages to remain smooth and fresh with a taste of Windows Phone 8.1… but it looks like Nokia Lumia 1020 End of Life status will soon be among us.
To be clear, from what we understand, End of Life does not constitute end of support from Nokia — it merely means that the company will no longer manufacture the phone, which would make sense if a successor were around by that time.
We’ve already seen pictures of what could be the 1020′s successor, but that’s been widely regarded as the Lumia 830. If it is indeed the next-gen 1020, the camera hump and this Nokia Lumia 1020 End of Life date would check out.
The date itself is September 14, so we still have a ways to go. We’re expecting many more Nokia devices for the year, including some flagship-class ones, so we’ll definitely have our eyes peeled.
