It wasn’t long after LG formally announced the G3that carriers were chiming in with news of their interest in offering the smartphone for sale; within hours of launch, we had heard from all four big players in the US. But at the time, there just wasn’t a lot of info about how that availability would manifest – they were talking plans for a summer release, but that’s about as good as we got. Well, with summer now here, we’re starting to lean about those specifics; T-Mobile announced the start to pre-orders this past Monday, with the phone actually landing on July 16. Now it’s Sprint’s turn to make with the details, as it shares how its own G3 sales will get underway.
Sprint G3 pre-orders open on July 11, and with the company’s Easy Pay installment plan, the phone will run you $25 a month for the next two years: so, $600 total. Sprint attempts to sweeten that deal by offering a $150 Reward Card on Easy Pay G3 purchases made through July 24 (and registered by August 7) or $100 for such sales between July 25 and August 14 (with the need to register for the offer by August 28).
In addition to the G3 in black, Sprint will also offer the gold color option, a US exclusive for the carrier.
Now all that remains is for Verizon and AT&T to speak up about their own intentions for making the G3 available; chances are, we’re just days away from those pieces arriving to complete the puzzle.
