HTC m8 has a dual sim variant in Europe.

For a lot of smartphone users, being able to juggle two SIMs on a single phone is a big deal. Maybe they’re looking to get the best value for their mobile dollar, or expect to be traveling to areas where the ability to jump on to a local carrier’s network would be ideal, but for whatever reason, dual SIM phones are in demand. The problem’s been finding this sort of option on your favorite high-end flagship, and all too often users are forced to choose between dual SIM models and those with all the latest flagship features. Luckily for HTC fans, the One M8 will no longer put them in that position, as the manufacturer announces a dual SIM version for Europe.
The dual SIM One M8 comes to Germany, Switzerland, and Austria next week, where it will sell for the steep price of nearly 800 EUR. That’s quite a bit more than its single SIM cousin so we’re curious to see if retailers will be quick to bring that down, or if the demand really is high enough to get people paying that much.
While these are only the first nations we’ve heard the dual SIM One M8 confirmed for, HTC will almost certainly bring the phone to other markets, though the schedule for just when that will occur (not to mention what pricing will look like) remains to be be seen.
Is dual SIM support a big enough deal for you that OEMs really should have it sorted out by launch day, or are you OK getting these options a few months later, so long as they actually do arrive?
