In the last month, both Google and Apple unveiled the upcoming releases for Android and iOS, respectively, through developer previews.
Both companies announced new features which will reduce the friction between using multiple devices and operating systems. Users will be able to run Android applications on Chrome OS, as well as sync notifications from their Android phone or tablet when using a Chromebook. Apple users will have the ability to start a message on an iOS device and finish it from a Mac or even sync SMS to Messages on OS X.
That’s only the tip of the iceberg, though. Both updates come packed with new features, including a brand new design language on Android called Material Design. Both come with behind the scenes features to keep things running smoothly, new fitness-focused features, and new contextual-awareness.
How do these two updates compare? Which should you be biting your nails for? Or are they both so great we can’t decide?
