It’s Ocotber 29, so you know what that means! Throwing together a last-minute costume from old clothing, pipe cleaners, and hot glue? Well sure, but more importantly, today’s the day when you getyour first chance to snag a new Motorola Nexus 6, as Google gets the phone’s pre-orders started. Or, at least, this would be your first chance if they weren’t gone already.
We’re not sure just when it happened, but sometime between when Google opened Nexus 6 pre-orders earlier today and the present moment, the company’s completely exhauseted its pre-order stock. White or blue, 32GB or 64GB, no matter which Nexus 6 variant you’ve got your eye on, they’re all marked as “out of inventory” on the Google Play Store.
Considering the stock issues Google’s had in the past when first making Nexus phones available, the Nexus 6′s stock problems are hardly surprising, but wouldn’t it have been nice for this one to be smooth sailing, right out of the gate? For now, Google’s not sharing any ETA for when more Nexus 6 units might go up for pre-order, advising hopeful shoppers to “check back soon.” That’s probably not what most of you were hoping to hear, but keep the faith; you may have to wait a little longer to get your hands on the Nexus 6, but patience will prevail. And sooner or later carriers will start sales directly, so you’ve also got that to look forward to.
