In case it hasn’t occurred to you just yet, even with Verizon tweeting a picture of it and a full user manual leaking online, the Droid Turbo is coming, and it’s coming soon. This baby of Verizon and Motorola has been exposed so thoroughly by leaks, there’s only one detail we don’t know (apart from pricing): when it will be officially announced. We now have a date though, thanks to a Droid Turbo launch countdown posted by Verizon itself on its newly-revived Droid Does website: T minus two weeks to launch date.
You may question the certainty by which we say that the site is referencing the Droid Turbo, and not some other Verizon announcement. There are a couple reasons this is most likely the phone; for one, the silhouetted figure of the rear of the phone exactly matches leaks we’ve gazed upon before now. Also, in the email Verizon sends you if you choose to sign up for an “activation notification,” you’re told to “be on the lookout for the latest and most advanced Droid” – yeah, this is happening, and there’s no denying it.
If you want a quick refresher on the Droid Turbo, check our post detailing the high points from the user manual. For you Verizon users on the edge of your seats, there’s only one thing we can say: two more weeks. Two more weeks.
