It seems like an eternity has passed since the Xperia Z1 Compact launched (and we reviewed it), but it was only this year. As promised, Sony Xperia Z1 Compact availability has expanded to the US, though not in the grandiose way that many of us have wanted Sony to do in order to make a dent in North American markets. In any case, this is something, so you might want to take a peek.
Before we jump into availability details, let’s talk specs. The Z1 Compact has a 4.3-inch 720p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a 2,300 mAh battery. It’s also waterproof and dust resistant, with IP55 and IP58 certification.
Our own Michael Fisher looked back at the device with nostalgia for the most part, so you can’t really go wrong buying the Z1 Compact (even at this point).
The Sony Store has all three colors (black, white, and pink) of the international unlocked Xperia Z1 Compact in stock and available for purchase for $549.99. This D5503 model supports the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 20 LTE bands, in case you were wondering if it’d function on your carrier of choice.
There’s also free shipping, so act fast if you want to grab yourself a brand spanking new Z1 Compact.
