LG G3 variants leaked.

Feeling a little confused about the rumored LG G3 Mini? We don’t blame you, as there’s been a lot of talk of different specs, not to mention different names, surrounding the hardware. Late last monthwe saw an LG G3 Beat for China, a five-inch device that might have been pushing the limits of how large a “Mini” phone could be (but maybe that’s exactly why LG gave it a different name). Then just overnight we shared with you the user manual for a device dubbed the G3 S, and while the docs didn’t reveal a lot of technical detail, the idea that this could be the Western version of the G3 Beat didn’t seem so far fetched. We’re still hoping to pick up new details on the G3 S, but for the moment our attention turns back to the Beat, as some new photos of the device emerge.
The pics come to us from TENAA (China’s FCC), and the images appear consistent with the G3 Beat photos we saw earlier. Of particular note is the phone’s flash, which unlike the dual LED arrangement on the G3 proper, here only contains a single element. That’s the same setup shown in that G3 S manual, further strengthening the argument that these are both essentially the same hardware.
The G3 S manual identifies that phone as LG’s model D722, while the phone pictured here is the D728. With other rumors of a D725 for AT&T in the States, this whole D72x series is looking to be full of S/Beat variants. Now all we have to work out is when LG intends to launch the phones in various global markets.
