HTC spices up the dot view cases.

In a world of cookie-cutter designs, the Dot View case for HTC’s One M8 is a breath of fresh air. Sure, we had a few issues with the way HTC manufactured this accessory, not to mention the steep price, but it’s difficult to deny how eye-catching it is, and how useful the notifications it delivers can be. Today HTC drops an update for the case’s corresponding Dot View app, adding a few new options that should hopefully make the accessory even more fun to use.
The big one here is personalization: HTC now lets users choose between a number of themes – background images that act as special Dot View wallpaper. The update delivers 18 preset options you can immediately select from, and the door’s open for you to add some of your own. Just how nice your own pics will look through the filter of Dot View’s cover might take a little tweaking to get right, but at least the ability’s now there.
Beyond that, the app picks up a couple new features, like tweaking redial to support the last three calls and expanding access to notifications. If you’re already rocking a Dot View cover on your M8, be sure and get today’s update installed, and if you like how these new changes sound but haven’t yet made the Dot View plunge yourself – well, now you’ve got some new factors to consider, don’t you?
