HTC one mini 2 vs Galaxy S5 mini.

Last month (June), HTC unveiled its One mini 2, a One M8 miniature look-alike, which we called a “petite luxury” device in our full review. Today, as a natural competition move (and also by tradition), Samsung has unveiled its own mini device, theSamsung Galaxy S5 mini. Needless to say that the fight between the two OEMs is going to be as fierce in the “mini” segment as it is in the flagship department, with the One M8 against the Galaxy S5.
But how exactly do these two competitors compare in a spec-to-spec showdown? Check out the detailed Samsung Galaxy S5 mini vs HTC One mini 2 spec table below to find out. What we’ll tell you straight from the beginning is that, while the One mini 2 brings an aluminum, premium, build (and BoomSound), Samsung equipped its S5 mini with an IP67 certified body, heart-rate monitor, and fingerprint scanner. The rest, as found under the hood, is fairly similar, with both phones having pros and cons, on paper. We’ll have to wait for the S5 mini to arrive in our labs to compare these two in real life.
