Samsung isn’t only famous for its current Galaxy flagships, but also for naming almost any smartphone that it builds, a Galaxy phone. This does lead to a lot of confusion, as it’s hard to differentiate the powerful Galaxy phones, from the ones that aren’t at the time of calculating Galaxy sales. Still, we do know that Samsung’s biggest market is the entry-level market, and the company continues to push in that direction.
Samsung has just announced the Galaxy Galaxy Core II, Galaxy Ace 4, Galaxy Young 2 and the Galaxy Star 2. All four are running Samsung’s TouchWiz Essence skin on-top of Android, and are obviously focused at the entry-level market. Specifications vary depending on each model, for example the Galaxy Core II has a 4.5-inch screen (WVGA most probably), 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, 768 MB RAM and 4 GB internal memory (microSD slot up to 64 GB). This device does have the benefit of being a dual-SIM handset also comes with a 5 MP camera at the back along with a 2,000 mAh battery.
The rest of the devices sport similar specifications and different markets. We should expect them to reach stores very soon, though none of these seems to have a Moto E-type price point.
