Miniuum adopts circular display on android wear.

Smartwatches may be more popular today than ever before, but even with rising public interest, they still have a few major hurdles to clear. Battery life continues to remain a challenge, but the use of tech like wireless charging promises to help make things a little smoother. There’s also the problem of input; voice command sounds like it’s going to be the gold standard, but how are you supposed to interact with your watch when you need to be quiet? When you’re somewhere like a theater or in a meeting? We’ve shared with you early efforts to bring on-screen keyboards to even these tiny screens, and now Minuum is committing its resources to tackling the next big shift in smartwatches, with plans to deliver a keyboard optimized for the circular screens coming to Android Wear devices.
The Moto 360 is the model we think of today when talking about circular displays, but with this form factor baked-in to the Android Wear specifications, we expect to see plenty more smartwatches like it in the months and years to come.
While Minuum is clear that this is something it’s working on, an ETA is tricky to nail down. The company explains that “Android Wear won’t necessarily have full input method integration at launch,” so support for  keyboards like Minuum’s may still take some time to arrive.
