Microsoft cross platform Smart watch ?

A Microsoft smartwatch has been in the rumors and headlines for quite some time. Said gadget has been recently confirmed as being in the works, with a feature that we all want other wearables to have:cross-platform compatibility. A recent Microsoft smartwatch report seems to confirm that said gadget is not only in the works, but also that it will indeed work with different platforms.
We’ve heard that Apple’s upcoming iWatch might have more than 10 sensors inside; today’s report claims that the Microsoft smartwatch will have 11, and it will continuously monitor your heart rate, syncing all data to devices. Two interesting bits are mentioned regarding the wearable’s design: first, it will have the display on the inside of the wrist (the report claims it is more natural, ergonomic, to check the watch that way), and second, it will not follow the current trend of smartwatches. Instead, it will have a longer form-factor, one that is elongated, much like the Nike Fuelband or Samsung’s Gear Fit (pictured above).
October seems to be the time for the Microsoft smartwatch announcement. The report also mentions that the interface will be “slick”. We’ll have to wait and see.
