There are simply too many leaks of iPhone 6 dummy units lately, up to the point that we’ve chosen to not cover some of them, since hey, they’re not the real deal. Still, if you all remember two years ago, famous Taiwanese actor Jimmy Lin became even more famous when he leaked a real model of the iPhone 5 a couple of weeks before its release. If you thought Lin was done with that, you’re wrong, as we saw some recent leaks of the real-deal 4.7-inch model in his hands a couple of days ago, and today he strikes again.
Lin just posted a photo on Weibo where he’s repairing the shattered display of an iPhone 5s. What makes this photo hot is that the device beside it is too big to be the 4.7-inch iPhone 6, and too well crafted to be a fake 5.5-inch iPhone 6 dummy. Given Lin’s track record, it’s almost safe to say that this is a real 5.5-inch iPhone 6, though we obviously can’t confirm that it really works since we know how Apple controls iOS from activating on every single device in the market. You’ll notice that the button placement is definitely different as well, so Apple is clearly trying to standardize designs with its iPad and iPod Touch line-up.
We’re still expecting this iPhone 6 to launch in early September, and hopefully we do get both models as well.
