Even though Windows Phone 8.1 is already a popular thing fro most of you that are daring to give it a try in its beta stage, a lot of things aren’t yet perfect. Obviously each branded smartphone is missing its load of proprietary updates to make it work better, and that’s where Nokia’s Cyan update kicks-in for Lumia customers. Some recent images have just leaked of what to expect, and the improvements are quite cool.
One of the most significant ones noticed today is that you’ll have a smarter way to tweak the screen brightness of your display. We’re not just talking about the typical brightness slider that you can see on other platforms, which wouldn’t even be cool to report on. This time Nokia is trying to help you define what high, medium or low brightness are for your particular needs. I’m sure most of you find it annoying that smartphones never really get this right, and Nokia’s new Cyan settings will allow you to define everything on your own.
Obviously we’ll have to wait for this update to reach your device, but it’s great to see that somebody is going the extra step to helping you find more comfort with you smartphone usage, and at the same time allow you to save some battery life in the process.
