We’ve heard a few stabs at what to expect from the Nexus 6, from a pared-down version of the LG G3, tosomething from Lenovo, and even wondered about a curved-screen handset. Today’s rumor returns to the idea of a G3-based One, and in particular focuses on the idea of the phone arriving with a fingerprint scanner.
While we haven’t talked much about it recently,early G3 rumors often referenced this idea of a fingerprint scanner. We also get into some discussion on screen size and resolution, but without specific attribution to this source, it sounds a bit too much like speculation for our tastes. But that uncertainty aside, this fingerprint idea for a Nexus phone is pretty interesting on its own. Could we see Google really integrate it with its existing services? Maybe instead of Google’s two-factor authentication sending a passcode via SMS to your phone, we could see it evolve to also take advantage of biometric tech?
