Leaks Point Out Touchid On Upcoming iPads.

Apple’s launch of the iPhone 5s made it almost obvious that the company was going to incorporate Touch ID into its next tablet offerings, but the reasons why Apple couldn’t deliver were clear. The company struggled for months to meet the demand of the iPhone 5s, mainly because of the Touch ID component, so building it into the new iPad line-up would’ve just complicated things. It’s only natural that this new feature reaches the iPad this year, and rumors continue to point to that.
Reports have TSMC (short for Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) already supplying Touch ID sensors that are compatible with the new iPad line-up and also the iPhone 6 in mid-April. The leak originated from Sazhou Crystal Semiconductor Technology Co., which are in-charge of building the back-end that makes Touch ID possible. At this pace, it’s clear that Apple is gearing for compatible iPads to launch by this year’s holiday season.
Obviously this won’t be the first time we see iPads with Touch ID. If you remember, photos of these were already leaked last year, so hopefully this time, Cupertino does pull it off.
