Microsoft’s Lumia Denim update begins rollout

The past few days, editor Jaime Rivera has been sharing his thoughts on Microsoft’s new Lumia Denim update, mainly the camera improvements to be specific. Spoiler alert: he can’t get enough of the improvements. Now, if you want to get in on the improvements yourself officially, you’ve been out of luck. But finally, today, Redmond has flipped the switch, and the wider Microsoft Lumia Denim rollout is underway.
If you’ve got a Windows Phone 8-powered Lumia device, you will get Lumia Denim, it’s just a matter of time before that happens. The update is rolling out across the world, country by country, and model by model. It’ll go out in waves, so it could be quite some time before your specific phone can taste the improvements.
Denim was first announced at Microsoft’s mobile-focused IFA 2014 press event. As a reminder, it brings a bevy of camera improvements, changes to Cortana and other features, as well as fixes for common Windows Phone irks. It’s a welcome update, and we’re happy to see that it’s making its way around the world now.
We’ll have more news for you on specific regional availability as it crosses our desks, so stay tuned for more.
