Nexus 6 delays anticipated for international markets

Today puts us one week away from the start of Nexus 6 pre-orders, with Google getting things underway on October 29. And shortly thereafter, Android fans in the US will be able to get their hands on this latest Nexus handset. But what about everyone else? Google hasn’t said much about international availability, but a new rumor suggests the situation could be a little rocky, with not every nation getting access to the phone straight away.
Specifically, we hear that UK availability of the Nexus 6 might not happen until sometime in December, over a month from now. While other countries aren’t mentioned in this report, we can’t imagine the phone will be much easier to get elsewhere.
In all fairness, this doesn’t sound particularly surprising; Nexus phones have struggled with early stock shortages in years past, and Google has staggered such releases by country. In that light, consider this rumor more of a “heads-up” than a warning of impending doom. Still, it’s a little uncomfortable, the way Google has been keeping mum about these international sales details, so this might be a scenario worth keeping an eye on, especially as we move into November.
How many of you Pocketnow readers outside the US have your eye on a Nexus 6? Do you mind waiting a little to get one?
