Android Wear is still what many of us like, but not necessarily what all of us want. It’s clear that we need more developers to embrace the platform, and some of us agree that we also need better watches to drool over. There is still much room for both Google and developers to take advantage of the platform, and as such we’re seeing this come first from WhatsApp.
The Facebook-owned company has just launched a new extension to allow you to interact with WhatsApp through your Android Wear smartwatch, and what makes this hot is that it allows you to voice replay to messages. If you think about it, this is the most logical step that any messaging app should take in order to fully take advantage of Android Wear, but if you count the amount of apps that can, you’d be disappointed.
At the moment this feature is sadly in beta, and it also requires a direct download in order to work. The biggest issue with this is that messages won’t arrive fully, but hey, it still is a beta away.
