Ever since the very first Lumia devices from Nokia, everyone wondered what would happen if these Nokia smartphones ran Android. A Lumia running Android was even more wished for once the Lumia 1020 landed, making everyone wonder how a great camera would do on the market if it was powered by Android, and build by Nokia.
Fast forward to today, and we’ve got a pretty interesting leak (or prediction) from @evleaks. According to the latest bits, a Lumia running Android is incoming, made by “Nokia by Microsoft”.
This is a great tease for many out there, but unfortunately, it will stay that way for the moment, as there are no other details concerning this.
Android is already powering (well, a forked version, anyways) phones made by Nokia, with the initial wave of Nokia X devices, followed-up by the most recent X2. However, a Lumia running Android is a completely different story. Of course, the eternal question arises: will it be stock Android, forked Android, or another combination? Let us know of your thoughts in the comments below.
