Lenovo to launch 60 devices this year with 0 from moto ?

Lenovo is currently the fifth largest smartphone maker in the world behind SamsungApple, Huawei and LG. If you currently haven’t seen many or any of its devices your area, that’s because Lenovo’s biggest market lies in China. If you remember our walkthrough of Lenovo’s booth back at MWC 2014, you’ll remember they offer a ton of very compelling smartphones, and according to some rumors, the company is just getting started.
According to DigiTimes, Lenovo is planning to continue its expansion by launching a staggering 60 smartphones this year in total. Some of these devices are already in the market though, as we saw some launches back at CES and MWC. Still, if you thought that some of these 60 devices belong to Motorola, think again. Lenovo’s acquisition of Motorola has not received all the necessary government approvals, and because of this, none of these 60 devices will come from Motorola.
It’s hard to predict if any of these 60 devices will launch in Europe or the United States, as we do know that Lenovo’s biggest intention to acquire Motorola is to expand heavily to these markets. What we do know is that both companies will operate separately, so we might not see anything the joint forces of Lenovo and Motorola until later this year, or early 2015.
