Last week saw Google take the chopping block to its selection of Play edition devices for sale, pulling the HTC One, Sony Z Ultra, and the LG G Pad 8.3 from its listings. While that may be a sign that new, more modern GPe hardware is on its way, it was still a little shocking to see some of those models retired after just over half a year. If you’re wishing you jumped at the chance to buy one when they were available, we’ve got just the deal for you, as retailer Expansys puts these former (and one still current) GPe models on sale, offering some decent savings in the process.
Expansys has the GPe One, Z Ultra, and G Pad 8.3 on sale for just about $400, $350, and $225, respectively. Considering some of those sold for hundreds more from Google directly, that doesn’t look like a bad offer at all. The company also has the GPe Galaxy S4 for nearly $400, a $250 savings off its list price in the Play Store – and Expansys actually has the phone available, while Google is currently out of inventory.
Sure, this is all older hardware, but we’re talking Nexus-level prices here, and for a flagship phone selling off-contract for $400 or less, we’re betting quite a few shoppers will be happy to go with an older model. Who’s biting?
