A couple days back we got to take a look at some new imagery that attempted to reveal Samsung’s work on a Galaxy S5 refresh of sorts, the metal-bodied Samsung Galaxy F. Call it the Galaxy S5 Prime or whatever you will, but the phone has been shaping-up to be a solid addition to the existing Galaxy lineup, bolstered by the addition of a quad HD display and the possibility of an SoC upgrade. The same source from before is back with an additional image, snapping a pic of the phone in some slightly better lighting conditions.
Indeed, the phone’s rear cover is much better illuminated this time around, and that brushed metal look is plain to see. While we’ll admit that it still looks like it could be a fake effect (not unlike some Hyperglaze efforts from Samsung in the past), but the source reiterates that we’re looking at an aluminum body with a metal rear cover.
While the screen isn’t powered-on here, we can make out enough of its edges to come away quite impressed by the narrow bezels, shaping-up to give even the LG G3 a run for its money.
Unfortunately, all these new leaks aren’t necessarily any indication that the Galaxy F will be launching in the immediate future; instead, we may still have a few months to go before Samsung formally introduces us to the phone. That may mean the Galaxy F arrives alongside the Note 4, or at least roughly in the same timeframe.
