As Google I/O is about to kick off, we’re seeing some reports concerning iPhone 6 features that will reportedly be included on Apple’s 2014 flagship. There were a lot of reports in the past, with leaks, and images of mock-ups, and the trend seems to be continuing. According to KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 6 will have optical image stabilization (OIS). However, only the 5.5-inch model is believed to sport OIS VCM (voice coil motor), while the 4.7-inch variant, due to yield rates, is expected to feature a “middle-mount open-loop voice coil motor”, an improved version of the the one found on the iPhone 5s.
The larger iPhone 6 will apparently get a boost in all features, not only OIS, like imaging quality for instance. The 4.7-incher will be a lower-end device, according to the report, while still being a step-up from its 5s predecessor.
And, while talking about the two models, mock-ups for both the 4.7 and the 5.5-inch variants have been sized up against the iPhone 5s, as well as some other Android devices on the market. While these are just mock-ups, and the final product may very well be nothing like what we’re seeing now, a 5.5-inch iPhone 6 will definitely be a huge device, judging by the pictures.
