LG phone sales are expected to grow 20-30% this second quarter of 2014, according to a report citing “sources at the handset supply chain in Taiwan”. The reason behind the growth is reportedly the good performance of the current flagship, the LG G3 (pictured above), on the market.
Those percentage numbers mean that LG could very well sell 15-16 million smartphones in this quarter, as the G3 has already sold 100,000 units in its home country, South Korea, in the first five days of availability. The G3 flagship is expected to generate sales figures in the neighborhood of 10-12 million during its life cycle, claim said sources.
