Surface mini to be powered by Qualcomm chip set and released on 20 May

Surface Mini has been rumored for quite some time — actually, since last year — and according to recent reports, it might land, finally, this month. There will be a certain May 20 Microsoft eventwhere the smaller slate is expected to make an appearance, and the inter webs are already trying to anticipate some of the features (or lack thereof).
Bloomberg now weighs in on the topic citing unnamed sources that confirm the May 20 unveiling of the Surface Mini. Even more, the new product will likely ditch NVIDIA as a chip maker powering it; instead, the Surface Mini will be powered by Qualcomm’s chips, claim said sources.
In addition to the above, the report mentions additional Surface models, to be unveiled at the same event, including those that are powered by Intel’s CPUs.
