beta dev testing
First, the good news. Developers no longer need to pay $99 a year to get access to the beta testing of Apple's OS X operating system.
This is one of the features of Apple's OS X Beta Seed Program, which could potentially allow more people to try out the operating system, TechCrunch reported.
Users need only an Apple ID to sign up for the program and test pre-release builds of OS X Mavericks, and give Apple feedback to address bugs.
But now, for the not-so-good news: users still have to agree to Apple’s Beta Seed and Confidentiality Agreement to participate.
A separate article on The Next Web said this means potential testers still have to sign a confidentiality agreement, "so you should think twice before leaking any new features to the world."
