Windows 8.1 ready for a fitbit.

With wearables (and even smartphones, lately) focusing mostly on fitness and lifestyle, gadgets like the Fitbit are more and more common among tech-oriented people that want to either improve, or just keep track of their lifestyles and activities. We even told you about the 60,000 steps necessary to bring you our CES 2014 coverage, so there’s a lot of health-related, and fun reasons to use one.
However, most of the wearables only support one (some) mobile platforms, and Fitbit is just like that. Luckily, a forum post reassures Windows Phone users that there will be support, sometime in the near future: “Fitbit is developing an application for Windows Phone 8.1. Thank you for all your feedback and support!”
That is all the information that is currently available, but we’re sure we’ll hear more once the development is in its final stages. Did compatibility (or lack of it) stop you from using/owning a Fitbit (or any other wearable for that matter)? Will the Fitbit Windows Phone 8.1 app encourage you to own one?
