Celebrating its third anniversary in India, OnePlus on Monday announced the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition in association with Star Wars: The Last Jedi that is due to release next week. The new Limited Edition OnePlus 5T was showcased on Saturday at the Comic-Con event in Bengaluru. OnePlus is hosting an event in Mumbai on December 14 at 7pm at IMAX Wadala in Mumbai, to formally launch the latest entrant, tickets for which will be available to the general public at Rs. 999 starting 10am, December 7.

The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition will go sale on Amazon.in, OnePlusStore.in, and OnePlus experience zones in Bengaluru, and Noida from December 15 - the same day as The Last Jedi's release in India. Details about its price and storage variants are yet to be revealed.

OnePlus has provided a white back on OnePlus 5T Limited Edition along with a Star Wars logo. The alert slider on the left has also received a red-colour paint job. Besides, as per an official teaser video on YouTube, the smartphone includes a Stormtrooper wallpaper that matches the deep black front.

Specifications of the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition are likely to be identical to its original version that was launched in India last month with a starting price tag of Rs. 32,999. The flagship features a 6.01-inch Full Optic AMOLED display with full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The handset sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and a pre-installed Face Unlock feature.

The OnePlus 5T has a dual-camera setup with a 16-megapixel IMX398 sensor and a 20-megapixel Sony IMX350 sensor along with f/1.7 aperture lenses. A 16-megapixel Sony IMX371 sensor is available on the front. It packs a 3300mAh battery that supports fast charging through the company's Dash Charge technology. The OnePlus 5T originally debuted with Android Nougat-based Oxygen 4.7.1 but released OxygenOS 4.7.2 a couple of weeks ago with improvements for fingerprint and face unlock features.

Last week, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 5T 'Lava Red' Limited Edition in China with a red colour back panel. That new variant is listed on the company's China site alongside the original 'Midnight Black' option.

Asus ROG Event and Zephyrus launch in India.

The 20th Aug 2017 was a very special day because I got to attend the first PR event for a laptop in Bangalore after a very long time. It was the release of zephyrus in India just after about 2 months from  it's USA release.

For a gamer be it either professional,amature or casual their device means a lot this beast of a machine is the best device on the block right now in India as it is also a sense of pride for the gamers.

At the event we were shown the device which was something like a normal laptop but then when the specs were revealed with all the customizations and touches of asus we were awestruck by it's elegance and power.

So all of you maybe wondering what’s so special about the laptop that I have been praising it all along wait patiently as I will get into it.

The Good

About the laptop i would say is that Asus has gone out of their way for certain nuances of the laptop to make it more friendly and useful for the gamers by focusing on the thermal and noise emission on the laptop. They have incorporated a water cooling system along with tweaks like adding an hinge mechanism to  the base which helps in cooling the laptop faster with help of air thus improving it by 20%.

And also have set a new industry standard for noise reduction at around 40 dB which in my opinion means less distraction to the gamer and also to the person in the same room.

The chassis of the laptop is aluminium with a slim and fairly light build to go along with the design.The super-slim design of the Asus Zephyrus hides excellent gaming performance and a powerful Nvidia 1080 graphics card.
One of the points Asus has been trying to drive home with the ROG Zephyrus is its thinness. The company goes on to elaborate how NVIDIA’s design philosophies have helped companies to make thinner gaming laptops with better performance compared to the previous generation. Termed Max-Q, laptops designed with this philosophy in mind include support for the all the latest gaming technologies – NVIDIA G-Sync, VR, 4K gaming and other features.The graphics duties are handled by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 that comes with 8GB DDR5 VRAM and Max-Q design. To keep the system working at optimum temperatures, Asus has included its cooling solution exclusive to the ROG line-up called ‘Active Aerodynamic System’.

The Bad

With goods which are needed they fell a bit short with the screen topping at 1080P or full HD even though they have a 120Hz screen fps refresh rate.

The offset keyboard which focus on reducing heat or exposure to heat for the user made the touchpad also the mousepad get offset which may lead to a bit of a learning curve.

I also feel that the speakers could have been a it more louder as this may actually be nitpicking for having negatives at this point about the laptop.

Whats new ?

The specs of the laptop and configurations it's coming in are.

• Nvidia G-sync.
• 32-64GB SD RAM and offers 256GB, 512GB and 1TB of M.2 PCle options.
• The laptop also comes with a USB Type-C port, four USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth 4.1, HDMI 2.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The price set at launch is INR 299,900 so about 3,00,000 at MRP.

The bottom line

The Nvidia and asus collaboration with the gtx 1080 for the zephyrus has brought and amazing new gaming laptop with a lot of potential to the market in India. Asus has created a surprisingly slim Nvidia 1080 gaming laptop in the Zephyrus. It's expensive and has a few design quirks, but it's also very portable and just plain fun to use.

Nowadays with companies launching phones in and out from budget perspectives to high end flagships they forget to factor in budget with specs but itel plans to revolutionize this with their Wish A41 which fits in with  decent specs for a reasonable price category phones of INR 5 at launch.

The phone is a perfect bang for buck device which satisfies the 5 pillars of a decent smartphone in 2017 with a good camera , decent speaker , bright display ,screen to body ratio and battery life.

Unboxing of the device

The box contains a power adaptor , USB cable ,silicon case the phone front and centre a quality pair of earphones and reading materials with 24/7 help center built into the device and of course the warranty card for the phone.

Hardware and Software

The phone comes in a gorgeous champagne gold finish with the speaker grills at the back of the device and a huge chin upfront just like the google pixel the display upfront is 480p. The cameras of the phone pack a decent punch for the price range which will be discussed in the camera segment of the review.

The phone comes with a special feature with ‘‘SMART KEY’’ where the button at the back of the device can be used for various uses such as shutter button in camera or toggling the flashlight in a pinch it also can be used as an unlock button / power button for the device.The only drawback of the button is that it's not customisable for other features or launching apps the user needs.

The software side of the phone is near stock android 6.0 with the latest security update.

Nougat 7.0 can be expected by the manufactures but I won't hold my breath for it. The bloat wear comes high with apps such as facebook ,whatsapp, viber and some random music player by default which can be uninstalled easily but nothing more than these bloats.

Camera

The camera on the device maybe a slump on the MP side but it proves time and again that MP does not matter as the flash and software of the phone help in taking decent pictures with the main shooter and same with the front facer as well.

For social media uploads or a quick suggestion taker , the pictures from the device is great. The smart key helps in taking quick capture shots and also hidden shoots from the lock screen with a long press the drawback is in low light pictures and videos else it's perfect for getting the job done.

Performance and Conclusion

On paper the device may sound like a slump but it sure does pack a punch. The battery is amazing with a standby time of over 1 week and with moderate use lasts for a couple of days.

The phone runs games like asphalt 8,asphalt 9 xtreme ,N.O.V.A and clash royal with nary a hiccup. Though this maybe the cause of a less prominent display with slightly bad viewing angles and a tinny speaker but still it does the job handed to it smooth as butter.

Given a choice if I had to buy a phone for less than 6K I sure would buy this device as a back up for a rainy day or actually gift it for people who want to start using the smartphone as it comes with 4G VoLTE support it sure is worth it with jio in the market the phone is also a good choice for the elderly at home.

The speaker and headphone performance is on par with devices such as moto g,moto g 2nd gen and moto x first gen.
